The POLARIS Recruitment Process

Since inception POLARIS has conducted  recruitment campaigns to build numerous operational project teams. Through these efforts, we gained valuable insights, refined our approach, and strengthened our understanding of client needs. We would like to share key observations and advice from these experiences.

How Our Recruitment Process Works.

Step One – Submitting Your Application

We begin by advertising each vacancy for a set period. Every posting is written to match the clients’ specific requirements.

While many see this step as simply submitting a CV, it is actually the initial assessment of  whether applicants have the basic ability to acknowledge detail and follow instructions—qualities essential in many of our roles.

Applicants are asked to provide:

A CV no longer than two pages.

A professional photo on a plain white background- for the client’s attention- no gym photos !

Evidence of key skills or relevant experience.- scans of certificates , licences , medical training etc etc

These requirements often come directly from clients and are therefore crucial. Failing to meet them can indicate a lack of care or precision—traits vital for the roles we fill.

Review of  Applications

Upon receipt of  applications ,a panel from Operations Management reviews each CV. Each review lasts about two minutes and focuses on whether the applicant meets the prerequisites and desirable attributes listed in the posting.

We look for:

Relevant experience

Evidence of professional development

Key skills, competencies, and behaviours

Applicants who do not meet the requirements or fail to follow instructions are politely informed that they will not proceed.

The Interview

Successful applicants are invited to a video interview, typically lasting 30–40 minutes and conducted by two members of Operations Management.

The interview includes:

Identity verification

Structured questions assessing knowledge, experience, and communication skills.

This stage evaluates both technical competence and interpersonal qualities.

The client of their representative will then be forwarded our selections

Successful applicants  proceed to fitness testing and  contractual and operational briefing and only  then on to   deployment

**The Fitness Assessment

All Operational Deployments and overseas training tasks will require passing the Close Protection Fitness Test- Full details of which are on a separate page in the recruitment section of the website
